</ref> About JAR is a comedy band of the band AJR. The band recreates AJR albums, with original instrumentals, and vocals. JAR consists of two people, Dylan Wilkinson (Lead vocalist and producer), and Heath Garvin (Publisher, and Manager).
Background JAR was created in August of 2023, when Dylan and Heath wanted to create a "fun and creative" version of AJR's "Bang!" released in 2020. Dylan used GarageBand to create a demo of the song, while Heath used Soundtrap. When they both listened to the GarageBand version, they knew they had something special. They came up with the name JAR, switching the name AJR around a bit. The @JARCovers channel was created on September 13th, 2023, and the first video was created later.
Decent Orchestra Decent Orchestra was JAR's debut album. A parody of AJR's OK ORCHESTRA, the track list was; Decent Overture (2:41), Boomerland (3:01), 3AM Stuff (3:57), Don't Play (3:06), Joe Mama (3:47), Adventure Is No Where (3:25), Bong! (2:53), I Got Tricked (2:46) ,Normalish People (3:29), Hoompty Doompty (3:40), World's Biggest Bass (2:53), Way More Sad (3:24), Christmas In July (4:30). The album released on October 15th, 2023. After the release of Decent Orchestra, many memes were made of it. A Youtube channel named @AJRIDK made a video of JAR's "Bong!" with a midi over it.
The Won't Guy The Won't Guy, a parody of AJR's "The Maybe Man" was released on April 1st, 2024. The tracklist consisted of; Won't Guy (3:32), I Got Touched By A Feely Fool (3:21), No, You're A Mess (2:53), The Smart Podcast (3:26), Issac Newton (3:46), I Didn't Turn Out, Pt. iii (4:03), I Don't Have A Brain (2:51), The DJ Just Left Us (3:43), I Shouldn't (2:31), Carl's Going To North Korea (4:30), God Is Really Real (3:11), The (4:57). The Won't Guy had 2 singles, The DJ Just Left Us, and I Shouldn't.
JAR EP The JAR EP released on March 31st, 2024. It was JAR's first original piece of music, consisting of 5 original songs. The JAR EP had 1 single, "Golden Memories", the rest of the track list was; Intro (0:14), Golden Memories (2:44), Kinda (2:43), Inside (1:48), An Anticlimactic Outro (3:30). An Acoustic version has been teased, but not released yet.
History With Ranch JAR has a history with ranch, in many videos, Dylan dresses in a ranch costume holding a bottle of Ken's Ranch. This ranch costume was bought at a Goodwill Outlet.
Music Videos Many artists create videos to represent their music, and JAR was no different. They have released 3 music videos for their music, consisting of; Bong!, World's Biggest Bass, and Golden Memories.
Merch After the release of Decent Orchestra, JAR's first merch was released, on Teespring. It consisted of a JAR beanie, with the JAR logo on it, a JAR mug, with the same art, and a JAR sweater, with the Decent Orchestra album art on it. After the release of The Won't Guy, JAR CD's were released. These CD's consisted of; The JAR EP, Decent Orchestra, and The Won't Guy.
