The Jameel Foundation was set up on 22 April 2013 by the Former Member of the parliament of the Republic of Maldives, Jameel Usman, to fulfill his desire to utilize his resources, contacts and experience in improving the livelihoods of the Maldivian people, especially the youth development program of his own constituency, Gemanafushi.^[1] ^[2] ^[3]
