Jennifer L. Weber is a historian and associate professor at the University of Kansas who has written about "Copperheads" opposing U.S. president Abraham Lincoln and the American Civil War.[1][2] Her second book is Summers Bloodiest Days, a children's book about the Battle of Gettysburg.[3]
She received an M.A. in History from Princeton University in 2000, an M.A. in History from California State University, Sacramento in 1998, and a B.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University in 1984. She worked as a newspaper reporter and editor as well as political aide in California. [4]
She wrote the American Civil War entryfor Encyclopedia Britannica.[5]
