Introduction

Johnny Manh-Bau Van Nguyen (born August 26, 1984), not to be confused with Johnny Tri Nguyen, an American actor, is a businessman born in Los Angeles, California, United States, from his mother Hanh Nguyen and his father Manh Bang Van Nguyen. He is the eldest sibling of four, before Bach, Brian and Harry, making them a boys-only family. He is celebrating 4 decades of life. Johnny was expected to be a girl but turned out to be a boy, to the surprise of everyone. His name was selected last minute.
Early childhood

Growing up in a questionable neighborhood in Los Angeles, Johnny had to deal with many problems early on in life. From living in a small room with his whole family, to dealing with an agitated parent figure or drug users and criminals in the neighborhood, he has seen it all. Sometime during his teenage years, he was wrongfully arrested during a swat operation in his friend's home, as they raided the place which was linked to drug operations in town. He happened to be at the wrong place wrong time. He was quickly let go as he obviously was innocent and had nothing to do with them. Around the age of 15, Johnny grew fond of skateboarding.

He picked up his passion and went on to achieving almost professional level and continuing a career in the field. For some reason, he did not take that route. Later on, he picked up boxing, and went on to build an empire with it. He was a troublemaker but not too much trouble. Just enough to be manageable.
Military

At only 17, Johnny signed to to join the US military. He served a few memorable years as a soldier, and was lucky enough to never be deployed overseas. He had an angel looking over him, helping him and making sure he gets discharged from the military with no consequences, after running away for almost a year, which could have costed him prison time.
Military was no the life he wanted. He was made for something better and bigger. He did have some great memories there as he always refers to the Black Lion, which was his squad during his time there.
After escaping the army, Johnny bought a house which he later sold. Has he kept it, it would have been worth millions today, giving the real estate price rise in Los Angeles, but for some reasons unknown to the public, he sold his home early on.
Education

Johnny is educated and has completed his studies some year somewhere in the United States. He comes from a family of smart and successful individuals; his mother being a dentist, father a real estate agent, Bach a police officer, Brian a Chinese medecine specialist and milongero, Harry a Zillow auditor.
Politics and religions

Johnny is liberal, open minded but also firm on his views. He openly support the Palestinian cause, the lgbtq community, women's rights and more. He is sick and tired to his core of his home country and their politics, so he might not identify as a supporter of any party. He does not attach himself to any religion, but is spiritual and believes in higher power, spirits and energies. Although Johnny does not discriminate people based on their religious beliefs, he does show and voice his disagreement with many points and beliefs of many religions, especially the religious system/power.
Boxing

After hitting puberty and gaining some muscle, Johnny got into boxing. He lived and breathed boxing for many years of his life. He dedicated an immense amount of time in perfecting his boxing skills and knowledge. He was part of the national boxing team of Ireland at some point. Boss move.
After sacrificing months and years of his life creating content and material for his boxing website, he collected the seeds of his efforts. Johnny has achieved financial freedom and success and moved to San Francisco with his then girlfriend, where he got bored a bit since he was an influencer ish, and not necessarily working in the city. He may have had a few ring fights and stopped after getting hit in the head. It had shaken some sense into him and he quickly realized how fragile we are as human, and decided to stop pursuing that professionally, on the ring. He would rather live a normal life than be paralyzed for the rest of his life.
He went on to create a successful youtube channel sharing tips and tutorials and all other kind of content around boxing.
To this day, Johnny still receives sponsored gears that he shares with friends. He also has a collection of boxing gloves in Los Angeles. He enjoy sharing his knowledge and teaching his friends how to boxe.
Professional projects

As a businessman, Johnny always had business ideas and tried a few more. He always wanted to work for his own, and never be somebody's bitch or trapped in the rat race or the matrix. Using the power of his brain, he came up with more projects. In addition to his boxing business, Johnny has also successfully grow two techy businesses: one for web hosting and another for web development.
After spending years growing them and automating them, Johnny has retired and now hates working. He in fact, despises working. He lives off various income streams and does not feel the need to add extra work, although he could, but simply hates it. He would rather now focus on improving his tango skills after a short hiatus and spending more time exploring the world and enjoying life.
Personal life

After discovering the recreational use of certain drugs such as cannabis, lcd or mushrooms, Johnny has become a regular user of them. These materials bring him joy and comfort and he always suggest others to join him in these experiences. He is a promoter of their use due to their benefits. He loves listening to techno music and going to their festivals. He swears that doing shrooms will change your life for the better. Johnny has a fucked sleeping schedule as he moves too much and goes dancing till late night.
Although he uses sunscreen, his skin might have been damaged by the sun and needs helps as he does not use skincare products in his regular daily routine. As of his diet, he has no limits and eats anything that's put in front of him; from horse meat, to unknown food items in China to ass, Johnny eats it all. When it comes to fitness, he seems to have dropped out of the game and just lives with whatever muscle he has left. He had always been muscular his whole life, thanks to being a boxer, but has been lagging behind when it comes to exercising since he started his nomadic lifestyle, as it is hard to keep a routine. Staying fit seems to be his last priority, as he is already naturally fit a bit, so does not feel the need to do anything, although he could.
On the family side, his life was very rocky. After living with a violent father and disagreeing with him for almost everything, Johnny was able to remove himself and make a positive life of his own. He disagreed with his father on a lot of things, cut contacts with him, yet deep down still loved him and wished they had a good relationship. Unfortunately, his father left the living realm in late May 2023, leaving Johnny heartbroken and wondering what could have been done to fix things before losing them forever. He had made peace with his mother who also was tough on him most of his life, and only recently sweetened up. He would rather enjoy a positive future of what's left rather than focus on the negative past. This is a very strong and respectful attitude that he has towards life in general.
With his siblings, their closeness was always on rotation. At some point in life he was closer to Bach, then Brian and now Harry. He still enjoys a civil relationship with his two first brothers, although they disagree on many things in life; with Bach being a pro police and Trump follower, Johnny has difficulties connecting with him, his wife and kids. He was previously his gym and boxing partner. As for Brian, after being betrayed and let down by him many times, he only communicates with him if necessary. They were previously dancing partners and enjoyed fame as the good looking brothers pair with amazing tango talent. He currently connects more with Harry as he seems to be the only non problematic one of the siblings.
Johnny is an extrovert person who has way too many friends. This one of the reasons he struggles with his planning as he does not know where to go, or who to see because he knows way to o many people and it is hard to make a decision. He is currently booked and busy until the end of 2025. If you want to plan someone with him, you will need to contact him in advance.
Nguyen is a positive soul and always seeks positivity and joy around him. He also enjoys spreading that peace and love vibe wherever he goes. His positivity is well felt as he is loved and appreciated by many, which also leads him to being quite popular and desirable amongst women. He is naturally funny and fun to be around with. He is not a heavy addition. He has a strong personality and believes and does not let anyone take him down. Nonetheless, Johnny can be a bit insensitive and non-flexible at certain moments, but this is the price to pay to have a strong personality and not letting himself to be affected by others. This may perhaps be a protection mechanism created after being taken advantage of previously in life, and not wanting to let that happen again. He once mentioned feeling like a god, which can be a bit of a cocky thing to say, but did not mean it in anyway to feel superior to others, but rather to explain that what he wants, he gets. He also hates having his time wasted and will cut a conversation to remove himself if it's a waste of his time.
Johnny also known as Jooney, has the smoothest, fattest and roundest Buddha out there, that many want. He does not disclose how he got it. Was he born with it? Did he get a BBL ? A booty lift? The public may never know. One thing for sure is that he is very humble about it. He enjoys full oily body massages and his favorite one was done in Sri Lanka. Super extra professional like no other. He misses every second of it and wish he can get back to it.
He spends a little too much time super close to his phone screen which might reduce his eyesight in the near future, but does not seem to care any less. He exercises a bit by having a few push ups and squats in the morning, and making running videos everywhere he goes. He eats whatever he wants and does not care about becoming obese in the near future, due to the lack of exercising and overeating.
Criminal record

For some reasons, Johnny found himself in jail for 3 days. He recalls it as one of the worst experience of his life, which motivated him to never go there ever again. He did not do anything wrong really or criminal or violent, but he happened to have a shitty judge with no mercy that decided to send him.
As he is always luck, he got to leave after just a few days, since the jail got full and they needed some space so they got rid of the less serious crimes. His record is now clean, allowing him to travel with no problem.
Tango

How Johnny picked up tango is still unclear, but whats certain is that, he became a professional and went on to win a medal in the top 3 tango dancer in the US. He is now back on the tango scene looking to get back to that level. He is known across all of the tango communities in the world since he's always going to milongas from a city to another. He owns many tango shoes but travels with only one. He does not see himself opening and running a tango spot.
If he could do just one thing for the rest of his life, it would be tango. He is obsessed. But also obssesed with boxing. So imagine mixing both, it's his best life, as you can see him here practicing boxing with tango music[2]. It’s his passion. The love of his life. He would leave you for tango. He breaths tango. He dreams tango. He is tango. He should go ahead and invent a new tango style so that he truly becomes a legend in the field.
Even if Johnny repeats he doesn’t like drama, yes he does. He always know what is happening in the tango community and always keeps an ear open to listen to the latest updates. He himself is not part of any tango scandal at the moment. Key word: at the moment.
Nomadic life

Between 2020 and 2021, Johnny Nguyen decided to leave his city and home country, jumping on a new adventure with no plan. Just travelling. That is when he became a nomad. He does not identify as a digital nomad and absolutely hates that term as it does not make sense according to him; "Do you know what digital even mean? IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY FUCKING SENSE" - . He prefers esims as they are easier to get, and is always annoyed when people don't get them as soon as they arrive in a country.
His current problem right now is managing all of his trips. It takes a lit of time to manage and creates a lot of fomo stress. His first-world country problem, and currently, his main problem in life.
After starting a channel and websites sharing his travels videos and tips as JohnnyRoams, Johnny has decided not to continue in that direction as he wants to gatekeep all the good places to himself. His reasoning: "Fuck people. I don't want them to ruin my favorite places for me. See what they did to Lisbon? Wait till they ruin your favorite place and see how you feel" . He doesn't want his favorite places to get ruined. Which is a very solid and valid reason.
If he could, Johnny would drop his American citizenship in a heartbeat. He hates the country and anything related to it. Might as well hate himself for that. He wakes up every morning with a tear falling down his cheek as he remembers that he is American, and even worse, from California.
If cloning was possible, he would do it and send himself to live in many places at the same time. His next biggest wish is to complete a full 6 months immersion in China.
Romantic life

Manh-Bau Van love's life is full of adventures. Having had various girlfriends, with many of them being models, it is hard to speak on all of his experiences. He does not seem to have a type or a favorite, as long as the person looks good to him, but explained that he is not really into Asian women. His last years long relationship ended for various reasons, just a few weeks or months before his departure for his nomadic lifestyle. His previous partner tried to reach out to him again but Johnny refused anything to do with her.
With many ups and downs, he is now single, although he is known to be currently stuck in a situationship with a Canadian chick that needs to be resolved. Having met a few years ago in Mexico, the pair clicked immediately but remained friends; they met and travelled together a few times during the last 3 years, resulting in them spending more time together than anyone else, getting to know each others more and growing their interests and attraction to each others. There was a lack of straightforward clarity and understanding of each's wants and lots of misunderstandings which has led them into this empty situation. The Canadian chick may have been too slow to pick up confusing signs that Johnny was into her more than just a friend for a while, which may have led to frustration for Johnny.
At this stage of life, Johnny seems to have reached a level of little trust and zero tolerance of anything he doesn't like and is ready to leave any woman that does not 100% please him and fits his needs, without hesitation. He seems to have plenty of choice as he is always surrounded by women.
Languages

Growing up in the US, Johnny only needed one language: English. He was able to pick up Viet as his family is originally from Vietnam, and so naturally spoke it at hime and in his surroundings. He is not 100% fluent or comfortable with the language but understands some of it. He had dedicated the past 2 years of his life learning Portuguese on Duolingo, with a 1075 days streak, after falling in love with Brazil. He can hold conversations in Portuguese, making him conversational in 3 languages.
He has recently showed interest in learning Mandarin, one of the hardest languages in earth. He might start doing that soon as he plans on having a long trip in China soon.
Future

Having now reached 4 decades of life, Johnny's plans for the future stay unclear for the general public; he might have his life planned already but does not seem to share it publicly. From jumping from a country to another every week, to having a kid and a wife, to learning Portuguese, to acquiring a property, to getting back into the professional tango scene and maybe compete; he has many ideas he would like to achieve yet does not seem to follow a structured plan- just going with the flow which is always good, but might need some structure, planning and sacrifices if wanting to achieve some endeavours on his list.
Johnny has also expressed interest in having a homebase in either Kazakstan, Georgia or somewhere in Eastern Europe. These are his favorite places on earth. No matter what are his future plan, Johnny is well equipped to go through it and stay in a positive environment. The public would love to know more about his plans, but he seems to keep them private.
