Julie Han (Korean: 한 쥴리; born March 29, 2000), known mononymously as Julie, is an American singer, songwriter, and rapper based in South Korea. She is the leader of the South Korean girl group Kiss of Life, formed by S2 Entertainment in July 2023.[1]
Early Life
[edit]Julie Han was on March 29, 2000, in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States.[2] She lived there for thirteen years during which she pursued ballet.[3] She moved to South Korea at the age of thirteen where she was a student at Def Dance School and Def Music Academy, through which she was selected as a trainee for The Black Label, a sub-unit of YG Entertainment.[4][5]
Career

[edit]Julie auditioned for The Black Label at the age of seventeen through Def Academy. She trained under the label for three years before moving to Swing Entertainment but soon parted ways with the label.[6]
In December 2022, Julie was seen alongside her future bandmates Natty, Belle, and two unknown people in a British documentary about K-pop trainees. It was alleged that they were to be a part of an upcoming girl group of S2 Entertainment.[7] On December 27, 2023, S2 Entertainment announced the launch of a girl group in 2023, following which Julie was revealed as the third member of Kiss of Life on May 17, 2023.[8]
2023-Present: Debut of Kiss of Life.
[edit]On July 5, the group officially made their debut with the release of their self-titled EP which included a solo song "Kitty Cat" sung by Julie.[9][10] They also held a press showcase at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, South Korea on the afternoon of the same day.[11]
In 2024, she was featured on the track "Magic" in Nayeon's album Na.[12]
