Kandula Narayana Reddy is an Indian politician and two times Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) to the 12th and 15th Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections, representing Markapuram assembly constituency in Prakasam District. He won the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Election 2009 and 2024 as a Telugu Desam Party(TDP) candidate.

He passed 12th class from Siddartha College, Board of Intermediate, AP and discontinued his Bachelor of Engineering from Gulbarga University, Karnataka.

Narayana Reddy was born on 5th August 1968 to Narayana Reddy and Narayanamma. Narayana Reddy Married Vasantha Lakshmi, they have two children

Political Career

Narayana Reddy began his political journey by joining Telugu Desam Party(TDP) in the year 2003 and contested for 5 consecutive times from Markapuram Assembly Constituency representing Telugu Desam Party. He won 2009 Andhra Pradesh Assembly election defeating Pedda Konda Reddy Kunduru of Indian National Congress Party by a margin of 9054 votes. Later, he was choosen as a Member of Legislative Assembly in 2024 by defeating Anna Rambabu of Yuvajana Sramika Raithu Congress Party(YSRCP) by a margin of 13979 votes.

His main motto to join in Politics is to achieve the completion of the Poola Subbaiah Veligonda Project, which is an irrigation project located in Markapuram constituency, if this project is completed it can provide irrigational water to 447,000 acres and drinking water to 1.5 million people in 30 Mandals of fluoride and drought affected areas in Prakasam, Nellore and Kadapa Districts.

He also fought for separate district with Marakapuram as a headquarters representing backward western parts of the current Prakasam district, He demanded and protested by conducting multiple activities and submitted multiple petitions to local authorities
