Early and personal life[edit]

From Swinton, Greater Manchester, he attended Moorside High School, Swinton. He was part of the North West Junior Snooker Academy from the age of seven years-old in 2009.[2] The academy was founded by the brother of former World Snooker Championship winner John Spencer and run by his nephew Dave Spencer at Swinton Pool Hall, where Brierley also later worked.[3]

Career[edit]

He scored his first 147 at the age of 14 years-old.[4] As a youngster he was the English U17s National Champion four times and was selected to play for England at U16 and U21 international tournaments.[5]

In May 2024, he reached the final round of the European Q School in Leicester by beating Florian Nuessle but was defeated by Artemijs Žižins.[6][7]

He makes his ranking event debut at the 2024 Championship League in Leicester in June 2024, where he was drawn in the same group as Ronnie O'Sullivan, He Guoqiang, and Mitchell Mann.[8]
