Kennedy Kabiru (born December 25, 1989) is a Kenyan-American and current head women's soccer coach at NCAA Division 1 Alcorn State University.

Kennedy Ndiritu Kabiru was born on 25 December 1989 in Karatina, Kenya.

Coaching career

Salem University

He served as the assistant men's soccer coach from August 2016 to June 2017.

He was promoted to the Head women's soccer coach in July 2017, a position which he held until June 2019.

During the 2018-19 season, he steered the Salem Tigers women's soccer team to a landmark achievement. The team culminated the season by securing the top national ranking in several key categories: scoring offense, points per game, and total points. Additionally, they attained a remarkable second national ranking in total goals and assists per game, solidifying their exceptional performance and standing in collegiate soccer. Additionally, a remarkable milestone was achieved as Ramafifi from the team received a prestigious 1st Team All-American recognition, marking a historic first for the women's team. [1] Moreover, two players were prominently featured in the Atlantic region 1st and 2nd teams under his guidance. Notably, Thuto Ramafifi achieved a remarkable 1st national ranking in crucial categories: points per game and goals per game. Additionally, Ramafifi secured the 2nd and 3rd national rankings, respectively, in total points (63) and total goals (26 goals), further highlighting the exceptional achievements under his leadership.[2]

On 14 June 2019, Kabiru was announced as the new Head women's soccer coach, the 2nd in program's history[3]

Alcorn State University

On 22 July 2024, Kabiru was announced as the new Head women's soccer coach at NCAA Div 1 Alcorn State University. [4]
