Laconia is an incorporated area in Desha County, Arkansas.

Thompson B. Flournoy of Kentucky bought land there and established a cotton plantation. He became Speaker of the Arkansas House of Representatives and was organizing a regiment for the Confederate Army when he died in 1861.
