Deutsche Bahn AG owns 579 companies in and outside of Germany. Deutsche Bahn is also a minority shareholder of 123 other companies.
The market share of DB subsidiaries has been declining as of 2017.[1]
History
[edit]While preparing an initial public offering (IPO), the corporate structure of Deutsche Bahn was reorganized in 2008. Separate brands were introduced for different departments. The passenger transport division was managed under the DB Bahn brand, the infrastructure and services division under the DB Netze brand and the transport and logistics division under the DB Schenker brand.[4]
