The Jeanne d'Albret High School is a public high school located in the city of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, the high school was created from the merge of the Claude Debussy High School and Marcel Roby High School and was then named after Jeanne d'Albret.

History of the High School[edit]
In 1897, is founded the City Boy Middle School of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, later renamed University Middle School, before getting the title of state High School in 1942. In 1913, the Institute for Female Professors and the Saint-Germain-en-Laye girl Middle School are founded.
In 1943 during the 2nd World War, the boy school is named after Claude Debussy, a french composer. In 1948, after the end of the war, the Claude Debussy High school is named after the mathematics professor Marcel roby, who died in the Nazi's camps, and the girl High School is renamed Claude Debussy High School.
Finally, in 1997, the Claude Debussy High School and Marcel Roby High School merged to become the Jeanne d'Albret High School.[1]
Teaching[edit]
The High School is split in 2, the High School teaches students from Seconde (16 years old) to Terminale (18 years old), and the CPGE Classe préparatoire aux grandes écoles, thus teaches students from around 19 years old to 20 years old.[2]
The High School
The High School has around 40 classes of 35 students across the 3 years of study. For the French Baccalauréat, students can choose between various specialities (history-geography, geopolitics and political sciences, humanity literature and philosophy, foreign language literature and culture (English), mathematics, physics-chemistry, sciences of life and earth (biology and geology), economics and social sciences, and engineer's sciences (only in Première).
