Melissa "Missy" Cooper is a fictional character in the CBS television series The Big Bang Theory and its spinoff series Young Sheldon, portrayed by actors Courtney Henggeler and Raegan Revord respectively. She is the fraternal twin sister of Sheldon Cooper, a child prodigy.

Early life[edit]

Missy and her fraternal twin brother, Sheldon, were born on February 26, 1980, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Galveston, Texas,[6] and raised in Medford, a fictional small town in East Texas that is a three-hour drive from Dallas, along with their older brother, George Jr., by their mother, Mary Cooper, an overtly devout Baptist, and their father, George Cooper Sr., a football coach.[7]
