The name Aluta comes from the word used by many Africans to mean “struggle for freedom and liberation” that originally derives from the Portuguese phase, “A luta continua”. More recently, in 2024 he created a collage piece named Torn that depicts the distribution of political party votes by province in the 29 May National Elections in South Africa.
