Quinn Damerell (born April, 1989) is an American open-source contributor and a Senior Software Developer at Microsoft. He is the founder of OctoEverywhere.

Early Life & Education[edit]

Quinn Damerell was born in Indiana to Bria and Jacqui Damerell. He graduated from East Noble High School in 2008 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Purdue University in 2012. During his time at Purdue, he interned at Raytheon and Microsoft.

Career[edit]

After graduation, Quinn joined Microsoft as a software engineer, where he has worked for ten years on various projects, including Windows Phone, Internet Explorer, Mixer, xCloud, and Holoportation.[1]

Quinn developed Baconit, a Reddit client for Windows Phone.[2] In 2022, Quinn founded OctoEverywhere, a remote access plugin for the 3D printing program OctoPrint.[3]
