Raymond Lin-Jun Ma was born and raised in Toronto. He attended Northern Secondary School and grew up at 375 Keewatin Avenue. He worked as a coffee boy during his summers as a teenager. He loved basketball, but wasn’t good enough for the NBA, so he moved to China to play professionally. He now excels for the Beijing Ducks, winning awards but still getting no play.
