R. E. Rombauer, Roderick E. Rombauer and Roderick Emil Rombauer

Roderick Emile Rombauer (May 9, 1833-1924) lawyer and judge in St. Louis, Missouri.[1]

He was born in Seleszto (Szeleste). He and three brothers fought in the Hungarian War of Independence. His father was a Slovak.[2] (He was from a Hungarian family)

He delivered a poem at a ceremony on Memorial Day 1870.[3]

He married a daughter of Gustavus Koerner and had six children.[1]

Rombauer, Missouri is named for him.
