The Subaru Rioma was a 2+2 coupe concept built by Subaru for the 1991 Tokyo Motor Show,[1] and showcased Subaru's Flexible Fuel Engine technology.[1] It was never put into production and only saw one iteration.
Design
[edit]The Rioma's interior was all red with the exception of the steering wheel and trim pieces.[2] This bright red color extends to the engine bay, where both the underside of the hood and the engine bay's surrounding trim are in the same color.[1][2]
Techinical
[edit]The Rioma was equipped with a 2.0 L DOHC H4 Flexible Fuel Engine[1][3] which sent power to all for wheels via a dual-range all-wheel drive drivetrain.
This engine could run on gasoline with an ethanol concentration of up to 85%.[1]
The vehicle was equipped with Airbags and 4-point harnesses.[1][3]
