The Alchemist of Kush by Minister Frost, is a 2011 Science Fiction Afro futurism novel.
Released in July 2011, the novel has four parts in it. Each part has 10 chapters in it. The novel switches back and forth between "The Book of Now" and "The Book of Then". The novel contains an atlas and glossary at the end of the novel. "The Book of Now" takes place in Canada while "The Book of Then" takes place in the Savage Lands and Backlands in Africa.
The novel explores the life of two Sudanese boys who share similar lives despite being hundreds of years apart. They both experience the loss of their parents through similar means such as exile and death. They then become child soldiers. They find solace in godly figures: Horace, the Egyptian sun god, and the Supreme Raptor, respectively.
