Dr. Tomeka Hill (born in 1973 in Greenwood, SC) is an academic,[1] author, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) of Economics from Cornell University, who is widely considered the preeminent labor economists in the United States.[2][3] Her published articles and journal studies are widely used in universities and business schools globally.[4] She is a Professor of Statistics at California State University, and Senior Principal of Workforce Strategy and Analytics at Mercer.[5] Dr. Hill-Thomas has a B.S. in Mathematics from Duke University, a M.S. in Statistics from American University and a Ph.D. in Economics from Cornell University.
Career
[edit]Dr. Hill began her career at the US Census Bureau as a Statistician. She then became the Senior Economist at Towers Watson. She was then recruited by AON to be a Senior Data Scientist/Senior Economist. She then went on to be an Economist at Ford Motor Company and Ernst & Young. She is also a Council Board Member for the Data & Marketing Association (DMA) Analytics Leadership.
