Udi Cassirer is a multi-disciplinary artist who produces artwork that interacts with the art world's language. live in Tel Aviv Yafo. Born in Eilat grewup in Ashdod. Whose parents are Moroconian & Romanian.
As a painter, he explored the Theme "About" Abstract Expressionism. Artworks include Big Gestures, Thick brush strokes, and constructive line composition. Recent series of Colleges and recent assemblages reflect this coming back to this theme. He is also known for exploring human technologies and interactions, mainly through editing tools. To create static and dynamic collages using AI and Virtual Reality (VR) elements.
Has pursued various studies and educational endeavours. He studied Social Sciences at the Open University in 1996, attended the "Midrasha Art Teachers College", And completed a “Real-Time" Multimedia program in Tel Aviv in 1997. Additionally, he underwent programming training in 1999.
Throughout his career, Udi Cassirer has participated in numerous exhibitions and shows in Israel and internationally. Some of his notable exhibitions include group shows at “One Of a Kinds” at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art 2022, And T.V. 4 Artist Show, solo exhibitions at Tova Osman Art Gallery, and group shows at Poalim Bank. He has also exhibited his work in various locations, such as Jerusalem, London, Berlin, Sweden, Zagreb and Rome. Furthermore, Udi Cassirer's artwork has been showcased at art fairs Zürich Swiss 1.0, Art Fair Ghent, Arte Padova, Art Thessaloniki, and Luxembourg Art Fair. “Gesture" 2024 backgrounds, such as “Heavily Big Cloud,” are gestural paintings with Thick horizontal grid brush strokes. My latest series is an "Assemblage" of physical quotes, environmental findings, and references to Nature gestures created for the Lee Ufan Arles and Maison Guerlain Art & Environment Prize 2024. I felt that my Gesture Painting Practice could address this theme.

In creating this series, I plunged into the depths of abstraction and expressionism, employing acrylics and collage elements bound by tape. I aimed to foster a visceral dissonance, a clash of erosion and emergence.
The swirling blues and chaotic overlays challenge the viewer to find order in disorder, reflecting the tumultuous emotions we often face. It is an emotional storm, inviting introspection and bold reflections in any space it occupies.
