Vivek Kanthan[1] (born 22 May 2009) is an American karting driver competing in the OK category with Parolin Motorsport.
Born in New York City, USA, Kanthan took a liking to motorsports and began karting in 2019 with the goal of becoming a professional racing driver. He has achieved multiple titles, including winning the ROK World Superfinal and becoming vice-champion of the SKUSA Supernationals 24.
Aside from racing, Kanthan is a classically-trained pianist and received the President's Award for Educational Excellence in 2023.
Career

[edit]Kanthan started karting at 10 years old at his local track in New York, winning the New York State Championship in his debut year. In 2020 he began to race in US national championships, winning multiple races in the SKUSA Pro Tour and finishing 3rd in the championship[2] in his rookie season in the Micro category. Kanthan's 2021 season included another category jump to Mini, winning the Rotax US Max Challenge[3] and becoming vice-champion of the SKUSA Supernationals that year.[4]
For the 2022 season, Kanthan switched to the European karting scene, racing for the AVRacing team in the Mini category. His notable wins included the ROK Italia Trofeo along with the ROK World Superfinal[5] in October before moving to the OK Junior category for 2023.
Kanthan currently races for the Parolin Motorsport factory team in the FIA Karting and Champions of the Future championships in the OK category.
