The following is a list of weather events that occurred on Earth in the year 1873. The several weather events which had a significant impact were blizzards, cold waves, droughts, heat waves, wildfires, floods, tornadoes, and tropical cyclones. Events across Europe are documented by the European Severe Storms Laboratory as well as other organizations.[1] Events across the North America, particularly the United States are officially documented by the United States Weather Bureau, which at the time was part of the United States Department of War.
