Draft:West Hill Lake

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

West Hill Lake is a freshwater lake[1] located in the northwest corner of Connecticut. Primarily located in New Hartford, CT, the northernmost tip of the lake lies in Barkhamsted.

Commonly referred to as West Hill Pond by locals, the lake is primarily surrounded by private residential properties. There is a public boat launch and parking lot[2], controlled by the CT DEEP at the northern end of the lake. There are no public swimming areas on the lake.

Camp Workcoeman and Camp Sequassen both use West Hill Lake as a location for scouting activities.

Brodie Park is located at the southeastern corner of the lake, and West Hill Beach Club is located in the southwestern corner. The Laurel Acres Property Owners Association owns the beach and boat docks at the northernmost point of the lake.
