Draft:Weston Estate

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Weston Estate is a North Carolina based alternative boyband formed in 2017 consisting of Marco Luka (vocals), Srikar Nanduri (guitar), Manas Panchavati (vocals), Tanmay Joshi (vocals) and Abhi Manhass (bass). All members are of Indian descent, with the exception of Marco. The name "Weston estate" comes from an affluent neighbourhood in North Carolina where member Tanmay lived near. Describing themselves as 'ya aunty's favorite boyband', they gained momentum after their live debut and are currently signed with Arista Records, a renowned record label that has worked with a wide range of artists across various genres. They can be found on various streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Soundcloud (where they also have several unreleased gems), Deezer, and Amazon Music.

Weston Estate's music style is a unique blend of indie rock, indie pop, and alternative sounds. The band members have cited various influences, including indie rock and indie pop, and have mentioned that they draw inspiration from their cultural backgrounds and individual tastes. They currently have an EP out, Maggie Valley, consisting of 6 songs as well as many singles that span a range of genres, from the slow guitar ballad "Slowly", or the pop-centric "So Good" to their latest release full of nostalgia "RIDE". Their song "Pears", which was the 2nd track from the Maggie Valley EP, gained them millions of streams thanks to a certain scene from the popular coming-of-age comedy drama "Never Have I Ever" on Netflix (check this edit out here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxeHjuf3tt8&t=19s).
