The World Padel Tour (WPT) was a prominent professional padel circuit that operated from 2013 to 2023. It was recognized as the most important padel tournament and attracted top international players.
The first edition of the WPT took place in 2013, establishing itself as the leading professional circuit, replacing the Padel Pro Tour. This transition resulted from an agreement between the Professional Padel Tournament Organizers, the Professional Padel Players Association (AJPP), and the Spanish Women's Padel Association (AFEP).
The WPT experienced significant growth in international exposure and television audiences, leading to its expansion to 14 countries in 2023, attricting interest from major media corporations worldwide.
