Production

On February 1, 2017, it was reported that S. Craig Zahler would direct Dragged Across Concrete, a film about police brutality from his own script, starring Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn, who both worked together in the 2016 film Hacksaw Ridge.[2] Keith Kjarval of Unified Pictures would be producing the film along with Zahler and Dallas Sonnier of Cinestate, Assemble Media's Jack Heller, and Sefton Fincham of Look to the Sky Films, while Kjarval's Unified Film Fund I would be financing.[2] In May 2017, Lionsgate acquired the US distribution rights to the film and would be released through its Summit Entertainment.[3]

Principal photography on the film began on July 17, 2017 in Vancouver.[3][4][5]
