Echizen (越前町, Echizen-chō) is a town located in Nyū District, Fukui Prefecture, Japan.

On February 1, 2005 the towns of Asahi and Ota, and the village of Miyazaki, all from Nyū District, were merged into Echizen.

As of May 1, 2017, the town has an estimated population of 22,209 and a density of 150 persons per km².[1] The total area is 152.90 km².
