ecobee is a home automation company that makes thermostats for residential and commercial use.[1] They are controlled using a companion app available for iOS, Android and the Apple Watch.[2]
Products
The ecobee3 is ecobee's flagship product. It is a touchscreen thermostat that has a remote temperature and motion sensor so it can adjust the thermostat based on where you are.[3][4] It also has IFTTT integration.[5][6] There is also a version of the ecobee3 that works with Apple HomeKit.[7][8]
History
Ecobee was founded in 2007.[9] It has been recognized with a number of awards, including the Deloitte Technology Green 15 Award for Canadian green technology companies,[10] and the 2011 AHR Expo Innovation Award in the category of building automation.[11]
