Template:Spanish name Edward Olivares Balzac (born November 5, 1938 in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico) is a former Major League Baseball outfielder and third baseman who spent parts of two seasons playing for the St. Louis Cardinals. He batted and threw right-handed.
Olivares was originally signed by the Philadelphia Phillies as an amateur free agent before the 1957 season. He then signed with the Cardinals prior to the 1958 season and made his major-league debut during the 1960 season. Following the 1961 season he was drafted by the Houston Colt .45s in the 1961 expansion draft but never appeared in another major league game.
His son, Omar Olivares, was an MLB pitcher for 12 seasons.
