Egerton Lowndes Wright (15 November 1885 – 11 May 1918) was an English cricketer active from 1914 to 1927 who played for Lancashire and Oxford University. He was born in Chorley and died during World War I in Barly, Somme, where he had been serving with the British Army. He appeared in 37 first-class matches as a righthanded batsman and wicketkeeper. He scored 1,638 runs with a highest score of 95 and held 26 catches with three stumpings.[1]
