Eiheiji (永平寺町, Eiheiji-chō) is a town located in Yoshida District, Fukui Prefecture, Japan. It is named after the Eihei-ji temple.

As of May 1, 2017, the town has an estimated population of 18,898.[1] The total area is 94.34 km².

On February 13, 2006 the town of Matsuoka and the village of Kamishihi, both from Yoshida District, were merged into the town of Eiheiji.
