El Nuevo Siglo (meaning "the new century") is a daily newspaper published in Bogotá, Colombia. It was founded in 1936 (with the name El Siglo) by the conservatives Laureano Gómez and José de la Vega en Bogotá. In July 2007, it was run by Juan Gabriel Uribe. It focuses on political news and opinion, and maintains a critical attitude toward the government of President Álvaro Uribe Vélez.
