Eleanor Patricia Smith[1] is a British Labour Party politician. She has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Wolverhampton South West since the 2017 general election.[2][3] She is the first MP from an African Caribbean background to represent a constituency in the West Midlands.[4]

Prior to being an MP, Smith was a theatre nurse and President of the trade union Unison in 2011.[5][6] She has also served as Chair of the Midlands Regional Trades Union Congress.[7]
