Eleven Chorale Preludes is Johannes Brahms' Opus 122, a collection of preludes for the organ based on Lutheran chorales. The eleven pieces are relatively short and are based on selected verses of nine separate chorales. This work is considered a final statement on Brahms' life and pending death. One of the selections is actually a prayer for healing and restoration to health. Some organists sense that there is a "good-bye" in the last prelude based on O Welt, ich muss dich lassen (O World, I Now Must Leave Thee).
