Elia Irimali

Elia Kaulifewangali Irimali is a Namibian politician from SWAPO and has been governor of the Oshana region since 2019.[1] Until his appointment as governor, Irimari was the regional councilor for Ondangwa Urban Constituency. Irimari became a councillor in 2015 and has been serving in the management committee of the Oshana Regional Council since his appointment.[2]

Irimali previously worked as school history teacher.

Political career[edit]

While working as a school teacher, he played an active member of the Namibia National Students Organization. As governor, Irimari is primarily committed to youth work. He is also an advocate for communities to harvest water so that it can be used during dry seasons, both by human and livestock.[3]
