Elizabeth Alexander (13 December 1908 – 1958) was a British born meteorologist and radio astronomer. She was once credited as the First Female Radio Astronomer due to her early work in the branch of astronomy that would later become known by that name.[1][2]

Born Frances Elizabeth Somerville Caldwell in the United Kingdom, Alexander earned her PhD from Cambridge, worked as the Government Geologist of Singapore from 1942 to 1946, with a break during 1945 to serve as the Head of the Operational Research Section of the Radio Development Laboratory in New Zealand.[3]

Alexander was married to Norman Alexander in 1935.
