Elliot Justham (born 18 August 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for National League club Dagenham & Redbridge.

Career

Early career

Born in Dagenham, Greater London,[1] Justham played for semi-professional clubs Waltham Forest, Leyton, Redbridge, Brentwood Town and East Thurrock United between 2008 and 2013, alongside working night shifts on the London Underground.[3] His potential was spotted by clubs higher up the footballing pyramid and he went on trial both at Reading and West Ham United.[4]

Luton Town

On 13 May 2013, Justham was signed by Conference Premier club Luton Town.[4][5] He spent his first season as Luton's goalkeeper in cup competitions, playing twice in the FA Cup, five times in the FA Trophy and three times in the Bedfordshire Senior Cup including a 2–1 defeat to Biggleswade Town in the final,[6] without making a league appearance.[7] In the 2014–15 season, an injury to regular goalkeeper Mark Tyler meant Justham played in the final 15 games of the season.[8] He kept five clean sheets and his performances saw reported interest from League One clubs Bradford City and Gillingham.[9] On 23 April 2015, Justham signed a two-year contract extension with Luton.[10]

Justham made 17 appearances in all competitions during the 2015–16 season,[11] but was released from his contract by mutual consent one year early as part of the reorganisation of the squad by Luton manager Nathan Jones.[12]

Dagenham & Redbridge

Justham signed a two-year contract with newly relegated National League club Dagenham & Redbridge on 31 May 2016.[13] He made his Dagenham debut on the opening day of the 2016–17 season in a 3–0 win at home to Southport.[14]
