Emma Pollock is a Scottish singer, songwriter, and guitarist. She was a founding member of The Delgados. She signed a solo recording contract with the 4AD Records label in 2005 after the amicable split of the band.

She released her first solo album, Watch The Fireworks, on September 17 2007 [1].

She continues to be involved in the influential Glasgow based label Chemikal Underground.

She is a member of the cross-genre musical collective The Burns Unit, which plans to release an album in 2009. Other members include Sushil K Dade, Karine Polwart, Chris Difford and Kenny Anderson.

She studied Archaeology at the University of Liverpool. Her trowel is still on display in the Garstang Museum on Abercromby Square.
