Erik Stocklin (born September 24, 1982)[1] is an actor and composer, known for recurring roles on television series Stalker (2014) and Mistresses (2013), and his starring role on Haters Back Off (2016–2017)[2].
Early life and career
Stocklin was born in Freehold, New Jersey.[3] After high school, he attended Southern Connecticut State University and earned a bachelor's degree in theatre in 2007. While in college, he played for four summers with the Elm Shakespeare Company in New Haven, Connecticut.[4] He also trained at the Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York City.[5]
Stocklin has played leading roles in feature films including Donner Pass and The Bad Guys. He also appeared on television in recurring roles on Stalker and Mistresses, and he guest-starred on The Vampire Diaries, Bones and Major Crimes, among others. He has also appeared in national commercials for Marmot, Apple, Hyundai, Mazda, and McDonald’s.[4] In 2016 and 2017, he co-starred in the Netflix series Haters Back Off, opposite series creator Colleen Ballinger.[6]
Personal life
Stocklin had previously dated actress Mekenna Melvin. He confirmed that he is dating his co-star from Haters Back Off, Colleen Ballinger, in early June 2018.[7] Later that month, Ballinger and Stocklin announced that they are engaged and expecting their first child.[8]
