Ernesto Mallo

Ernesto Mallo (born 1948) is an Argentine writer. He was born in La Plata in the province of Buenos Aires. He has published in a wide variety of genres including stage plays, cinema scripts, essays and short stories. However, he is best known for his novels, the first of which (La aguja en el pajar) appeared in 2006. Since then, he has published several more novels.

Two of his books in the "Inspector Lascano" series have been translated into English: Needle in a Haystack, translated by Jethro Soutar, and Sweet Money, translated by Katherine Silver.[1]
