Ethnikos Piraeus Water Polo Club is the water polo team of Ethnikos Piraeus or Ethnikos OFPF (National Club of Fans of Piraeus and Phalerum). Ethnikos is one of the most successful water polo clubs in Greece. They have won a record 38 Greek water polo championships (although one of them is not recognised by the Hellenic Swimming Federation) and 12 Greek water polo cups with 9 Doubles. They hold the unique record of winning 18 championships in a row (from 1953 to 1969) and 14 in a row as well (from 1972 to 1985).

Men's team

Ethnikos dominated in Greek Water Polo championship for many years. So far, it has won the most Greek championships in this sport. It has won 38 championships and 12 cups.[1] During last years his power has been limited, and it has relegated to second division (A2 Ethniki) twice. In current season, they play again in A1 Ethniki.

Tom Hoad Cup

Ethnikos Piraeus took part in the Tom Hoad Cup at the Melville Water Polo Club, Fremantle, Australia. There were six teams competing from around the world: the Fremantle Mariners (Australia), Ethnikos Piraeus (Greece), Galatasaray Water Polo Team (Turkey), Japan National Water Polo Team, The Barbarians and a composite European team including three Hungarian Olympic gold medalists. The competition took place from the 27th-30 December 2008, with gold going to The Barbarians.[2]
