Evan Sharp (born 1982)[1] is an American Internet entrepreneur who co-founded and is Chief Creative Officer of Pinterest.[2]
Life and career
Sharp was raised in York, Pennsylvania. He studied[3] architecture at Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Prior to that, he received a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Chicago. He married[4] Christina McBride in 2014. The couple met while attending college together.
In 2009[5] Sharp met [6] Ben Silbermann (who would become Pinterest’s CEO) in New York through a mutual friend. He soon thereafter moved[7] to California, where he worked as a product designer at Facebook before joining Silbermann and Paul Sciarra to focus on Pinterest full-time. Sharp is credited[8] with designing and coding Pinterest and the Pinterest grid for the initial product launch in March 2010. Today he oversees all growth, international, product and design efforts at the San Francisco-based company.
