Ewald Wurzinger, MA (born February, 12th 1987 in Graz) is an Austrian radio journalist and reporter for Radio Vienna at the national public broadcaster ORF. He is known for raising a memorial on Diana, Princess of Wales.
Life
Wurzinger grew up in Styria on the dairy farm of his parents and studied Media Science in Graz. Since 2008 he has been working for the public broadcaster ORF as a local radio and TV reporter. On Radio Vienna he is doing all kind of news and society reports. In 2013 he raised the first monument dedicated to Diana in a German-speaking country in a park in Austrias capital Vienna. Former friends of the late Princess have already visited Wurzingers tribute. 2014 the memorial was presented for the first time at Kensington Palace in London. The white bust and the memorial plague were created by the sculptor Wolfgang Karnutsch. 2015 Wurzinger did his dissertation about Diana too, where he scientifically worked out the relationship between the Princess and the press.
Awards
For his cooking reports on Radio Vienna Ewald Wurzinger won the IFAJ Alltech Young Leaders Award in New Zealand in 2015.
