Eyvind W. Wang
Eyvind W. Wang (born 8 December 1942) is a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party.
He hails from Blommenholm in Bærum, and started his career as a car mechanic. He eventually became workshop manager in the company Skotvedt, and later served on its board of directors. He was also a chairman of Vestfjorden Avløpsselskap.[1]
Wang was first elected to Asker municipal council in 1975, and served as mayor of Asker municipality from 1980 to 1995.[1] In 1979 he faced the challenge by fellow party member Jens Wisløff as a mayoral candidate, but won.[2] He was succeeded by Morten Strand from the same party. He served as a deputy representative to the Norwegian Parliament from Akershus during the term 1993–1997.[3] He has also chaired the Conservative Party county chapter in Akershus, and has been a member of the central party committee.[1]
