History

The club was formed in 1926 as SSK (Surdulički sport klub). During the Second World War the club ceased its activities. In 1946, under the initiative of Borivoje Milenković and Božidar Stanković, the club is reestablished and changed its name to FK Polet Surdulica. In 1950 the club changes its name to FK Hidrovlasina, and at the end of that same year the club is merged with FK Molidben Belo Polje and changed its name to FK Radnik Surdulica.[2]

It was in 2015, after winning the 2014–15 Serbian First League, that Radnik archived its biggest success, promotion to the national top tier, the Serbian SuperLiga. They finished their inaugural season in the SuperLiga mid-table 8th place of 16 clubs. During summer they sold some key players and started the following season facing difficulties. On March 17, 2017, the direction board decided to dismiss coach Bratislav Živković and bring Simo Krunić.[3]
