Farmington is a sub division in the south west corner of Hampton, Virginia. Farmington is one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the city. Most residents in Farmington make a higher than average income for the State of Virginia.[1] Farmington was formed in the 1960s as a city and was originally a plantation. Farmington was formed by the then owner of the farm. The original sections included Farmington Boulevard to Estate Drive. In the early to late 1980s the south eastern section was formed. During the 1990s the Diamond Hill section of the neighborhood was formed and from the 2000s to today, Castle Haven Road was formed.
