Faty Papy (born 18 September 1990 in Bujumbura) is a Burundian professional association football player who currently plays for Bidvest Wits in the South African Premier Soccer League. He also plays with the Burundi national football team.
Career
Papy signed on 25 December 2008 for Trabzonspor, coming from AS Inter Star a football club based in Bujumbura.[1]
Sports magazine Goal.com suggested Papy as one of the 10 African Players to Watch in 2009.[2]
On 24 June 2009 Papy was loaned out to MVV.[3] On 5 January 2011 Trabzonspor released the Burundian midfielder by mutual consent making him a free agent.[4]
International career
Papy represents the Burundi national football team;[5] he made his debut on the first of June in 2008 in a game against the Seychelles national football team.[6]
