Federal Triangle
The Federal Triangle is the triangular area in Washington, D.C. formed by 15th Street, Constitution Avenue, and Pennsylvania Avenue. It is the site of many U.S. federal government buildings, including:
- Robert F. Kennedy Department of Justice Building (Department of Justice headquarters)
- Herbert C. Hoover Building (Department of Commerce headquarters)
- Houses National Aquarium, and White House Visitor Center
- Old Post Office Building
- Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center
- National Archives Building
- Ariel Rios Building
- Internal Revenue Service headquarters
- Federal Trade Commission headquarters
Many buildings in the Triangle were built in the 1930s and share a common Neoclassical (Greek Revival) architectural style and orange Spanish tile roofs. The Federal Triangle Metrorail station serves the Triangle and the surrounding area.
