Fellowship of the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS) is an award and fellowship granted to individuals that the Royal Aeronautical Society judges to:

  • have made outstanding contributions in the profession of aeronautics [1]
  • have attained a position of high responsibility in the profession of aeronautics[1]
  • have had long experience of high quality in the profession of aeronautics[1]

Fellowship

Fellows are entitled to use the post-nominal letters "FRAeS".[1] As of 2016 examples of fellows include Douglas Bader, J. W. Dunne and David Eagles, see the Category:Fellows of the Royal Aeronautical Society for more examples.

Honorary Fellows are entitled to the post-nominal letters "Hon FRAeS".
