Feni Soccer Club is a football club from Feni, Bangladesh.[1] It is a team playing in the Bangladesh Championship League, the 2nd-tier league of the country.[2] 8,000 capacity Shahid Salam Stadium is their home.

History

This Soccer Club, of Feni is commonly known as Feni Soccer Club, it is a professional football club that plays in Bangladesh Championship League. It was established as a major force in local football league in Feni during the 1990s. They started their journey in major football league of Bangladesh in 2009 in the Bangladesh League which is now known as Bangladesh Premier League. From the beginning of the B League Career, Feni Soccer established itself as a giant killer team and they are still moving forward.

Unlike most of the Bangladeshi professional football clubs, Feni Soccer Club is watched over and operated by local rich businessmen. They are Tabith Mohammed Awal, Abdul Awal Mintoo, Abdul Kuddus.

It is the only club which is situated outside Dhaka city that has never been relegated from the top flight of Bangladesh football. Locally, This Soccer Club has won record 11 times in the “Feni First Division Football League” also many local tournaments.

Nationally it has played 2 times in Nitol-Tata Football League where the best football clubs of Bangladesh were played and it has achieved to a semi-finalist of that tournament once. The Feni Soccer club has also played in the Bashundhara Club Cup Championship Football and became the runner’s up of that tournament, thus it has got a chance to play in Bangladesh Premier League in 2009–2010 session for first time and became the 4th team of the points table!

In 2008 Feni Soccer played Federation Cup for first time and became one of the semifinalists of that tournament. The club reached the final of Modhumoti Bank Independence Cup Football Tournament 2014 and lost in penalty shoot out against Dhaka Mohammedan SC.
